Sysnet strengthens its commitment to a more sustainable and responsible future by adhering to ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) principles. Our mission is not only to provide cutting-edge technological solutions, but also to do so while respecting the environment, social well-being, and best governance practices.
Sustainability has become a central theme for companies around the world. In an era where climate change and environmental issues are at the center of public debate, businesses have a responsibility to adopt sustainable practices to protect our planet. Corporate sustainability is not only a matter of ethics, but also of long-term strategy. Companies that embrace sustainability not only contribute to a better world, but can often also achieve significant competitive advantages.
Corporate Sustainability
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a directive governing corporate sustainability reporting. It was introduced to meet the requirements and objectives of the “2030 Agenda,” a UN action program aimed at protecting the planet, people, and thus prosperity. The program aims to achieve 17 goals for sustainable development in the environmental, social, and economic fields (ESG).
Corporate sustainability can be defined as the adoption of practices that reduce the negative environmental impact of corporate activities, promote social well-being, and ensure long-term economic profitability. A sustainable company therefore seeks to balance these three aspects to create long-term value for all stakeholders. SYSNET has therefore decided to adopt a socially responsible business style, which it intends to pursue consistently and continuously to achieve benefits for the environment, the company, and its stakeholders.
To this end, a project was launched in 2024 to identify the company’s current state of the art in terms of sustainability, assigning a score for each of the ESG issues. Based on the results obtained, which already demonstrate a strong focus on sustainability issues, a three-year roadmap was developed to formalize the strategy, the actions required to achieve the objectives, and the related timeline
These are the main objectives of the initiative:
Greater attention to the use of natural resources. Practices will be adopted to reduce the consumption of energy, water, and raw materials, as well as to minimize waste and greenhouse gas emissions. This will mean identifying and using increasingly energy-efficient production and supply technologies and processes, and suppliers who prioritize the use of renewable energy, reducing waste, and intensifying efforts to minimize waste and maximize material recycling.
Consistent attention to the social impact of corporate activities. Corporate practices that ensure fair treatment of employees, respect for human rights, and contribute to the well-being of local communities will continue, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, offering fair wages and safe working conditions, and investing in training and community development programs. Collaborations with like-minded suppliers and business partners will also be intensified to improve supply chain sustainability.
Corporate governance with a strong focus on sustainability. The company aims to be completely open and honest about its sustainable practices and results. Sustainability reports will therefore be published, providing detailed information on environmental, social, and economic initiatives and performance, in the belief that transparency helps build trust between the company and its stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, and local communities. Awareness-raising is another key component of efforts, in an effort to engage and educate employees, customers, and stakeholders on the importance of sustainability and how they can contribute to the journey.
Communication campaigns, training programs, and internal workshops will therefore be planned, for example, to encourage environmentally responsible behavior in the workplace, on the move, and at home. Sysnet believes corporate sustainability is an essential commitment for the future and intends to work to the best of its ability to adopt sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact, promote social well-being, and ensure long-term corporate profitability. Adherence to ESG principles is a fundamental step in creating lasting value for customers, partners, and communities, confirming Sysnet as a benchmark for sustainable innovation in the networks and telecommunications sector.
